Terms and conditions

A Loving Organization Consortium

Effective date: September 12, 2026

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of alovingorganization.org and related pages, memberships, workshops, donations, resources, and member tools (the “Site”).

By browsing the Site, creating an account, joining as a member, registering for an event, donating, submitting a form, or using any ALO resource, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. Who we are

A Loving Organization Consortium (“ALO,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a nonprofit consortium helping healthcare leaders, organizations, and advisors build more compassionate, trust-based systems.

A Loving Organization
423 Sowams Road
Barrington, RI 02806
United States

Email: hello@alovingorganization.org

These Terms apply to the public Site and to paid member areas, including the members portal, member directory, resource library, white papers, meeting recordings, workshops, and related forms.

2. Eligibility

The Site is intended for adults in professional, healthcare, leadership, and related roles.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, purchase a membership, register for a paid workshop, donate with a payment method, or submit member content.

If you use the Site on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

3. What the Site provides

ALO offers information, community, and paid membership services related to leading with love in healthcare and beyond. Depending on your plan and activity, this may include:

  • Public pages such as About, Manifesto, Success Stories, Free Resources, Search, and workshop descriptions
  • Paid membership accounts and a members portal
  • A member directory and public or member-facing profiles
  • Downloads, white papers, case studies, and a living resource library
  • Member meeting content and educational recordings
  • Live virtual events, webinars, networking, book club, and workshops
  • Tools such as the ALO Maturity Self-Assessment
  • The ability to submit a resource, story, or library item
  • Newsletter and email updates
  • Donations that support ALO’s mission

ALO is an educational and community organization. We do not provide medical care, clinical treatment, legal advice, or guaranteed business outcomes.

4. Accounts and membership

Access to member-only content requires a paid ALO membership and an active account.

Memberships are managed through Outseta. Payments are processed by Stripe. After purchase, you will receive a confirmation email from Outseta (or ALO) with account or access details.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current account information
  • Keep your login credentials confidential
  • Use only one account, unless we expressly allow an organizational or team plan
  • Notify us promptly at hello@alovingorganization.org if you believe your account is compromised
  • Keep your profile information appropriate and truthful

We may approve, delay, suspend, or refuse a membership or profile if information is incomplete, misleading, or inconsistent with these Terms.

Your membership benefits are those described on the membership and checkout pages at the time of purchase. We may update benefits, access levels, or plan names, but a change will not remove a core paid benefit during a prepaid term except as required by law or these Terms.

5. Fees, billing, and no refunds

Paid memberships, workshops, and other paid offerings are billed through Stripe, typically on a recurring or one-time basis as shown at checkout.

All payments are final. ALO does not offer refunds.

This includes membership dues, workshop or event fees, and similar charges. If you cancel, you will not receive a refund for the current billing period or unused time.

By completing checkout you authorize ALO, Outseta, and Stripe to charge the payment method you provide for the selected plan or event, including recurring membership renewals until you cancel.

If a payment fails, we may retry the charge, suspend access, or cancel the membership. You remain responsible for amounts due for the period already provided.

Prices, plan names, and billing intervals are shown at checkout. Taxes, if any, may be added where required.

6. Cancellation

You may cancel a paid membership at any time.

Cancellation stops future renewals. It does not refund amounts already paid.

After cancellation, member-only access, directory visibility, and paid resource access may end at the close of the then-current paid period, or sooner if we terminate the account for cause.

To cancel, use your membership account tools or email hello@alovingorganization.org.

We may cancel or suspend an account if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, misuse the community, submit prohibited content, or create risk for ALO or other members.

7. Workshops and events

ALO hosts workshops, webinars, member meetings, and similar events, including offerings such as EQ Prescription, Joy of Listening, Developmental Leadership, and Loving Hour, as well as upcoming workshops listed on the Site.

Registration may require an account, a paid membership, a separate event fee, or all of these, as stated on the event page.

Workshop and event fees are non-refundable.

ALO may change an event’s date, time, platform, speaker, or format. If we cancel an event entirely, we may, at our discretion, offer a credit, reschedule, or another remedy. That is not a promise of a cash refund.

Virtual events may be hosted on Zoom or a similar platform. Your use of that platform is also subject to its own terms.

Do not share event links, recordings, or member-only materials outside the authorized audience.

8. Donations

You may donate to ALO through the Site.

Donations are voluntary gifts in support of ALO’s nonprofit mission. They are not membership dues and do not purchase goods, services, or voting rights unless we expressly say otherwise.

The Site currently states that donations are tax deductible. Tax treatment depends on ALO’s tax-exempt status and on your own tax situation. Keep your receipt and consult your tax advisor. ALO does not give tax advice.

Donation payments are processed by Stripe. Donations are not refundable except where required by law or where ALO agrees in writing.

9. Member directory, profiles, and submissions

Members may have a profile in the ALO member directory. Some profile pages may be visible to other members and, where published, to the public.

You are responsible for the information you include in your profile, including name, organization, title, photo, biography, links, and similar details.

Members may also submit resources, stories, case studies, white papers, library items, or related materials to ALO.

By submitting content, you confirm that:

  • You have the right to share it
  • It does not infringe anyone else’s rights
  • It does not include patient names, medical records, or other protected health information unless you have all required authorizations
  • It is accurate to the best of your knowledge
  • It is not unlawful, defamatory, or misleading

You grant ALO a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, edit for formatting or clarity, distribute, and otherwise use that content in connection with ALO’s mission, including the Site, library, newsletters, events, and related educational use.

You keep ownership of your content. ALO may accept, edit, decline, delay, or remove any submission.

Do not upload content you do not want associated with your name or organization.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Share your login or member-only materials with non-members
  • Scrape, copy, or harvest member directory data
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation
  • Post spam, ads, or unrelated solicitations without our permission
  • Harass, threaten, or discriminate against anyone
  • Upload malware, attempt to break security, or interfere with the Site
  • Use ALO content to train public AI models or build a competing product without written permission
  • Submit confidential patient, employee, or employer information that you are not allowed to share

ALO may remove content or suspend access if we reasonably believe these rules were broken.

11. Intellectual property

The Site and ALO materials are owned by ALO or its licensors. This includes text, graphics, logos, videos, frameworks, the INTEGRATE model as presented by ALO, the Manifesto, white papers, workshop materials, assessments, and the selection and arrangement of the library.

You may use ALO materials for your personal or internal professional learning while you have authorized access.

You may not copy, sell, republish, or commercially exploit ALO materials, except for short quotations with credit, or as we expressly allow in writing.

Member-submitted content remains the submitter’s property, subject to the license in section 9.

Success stories and organizational examples on the Site are for illustration. They do not mean those organizations endorse every ALO product or that results are typical.

12. Not medical, legal, or employment advice

ALO content is educational. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. It is not legal, HR, compliance, or financial advice.

You remain responsible for how you apply ALO ideas inside your organization, including privacy, employment, clinical, and regulatory requirements.

Never submit protected health information, Social Security numbers, or similar sensitive records through Site forms unless we expressly request that category of data for a defined purpose.

13. Third-party services

The Site uses or may use third-party tools to operate memberships, payments, forms, email, analytics, and events, including:

  • Webflow
  • Outseta
  • Stripe
  • Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
  • Meta Pixel
  • Zoom
  • Make
  • Email and CRM tools connected to the above

Those providers have their own terms and privacy policies. ALO is not responsible for third-party sites or services we do not control.

14. Disclaimer of warranties

The Site and all content, memberships, events, and resources are provided “as is” and “as available.”

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ALO disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that membership will produce specific clinical, cultural, staffing, or financial results.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ALO and its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, and partners will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or business interruption.

ALO’s total liability for any claim arising out of the Site or these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid ALO in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 if you have not paid ALO.

Some states do not allow certain limitations. In those states, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

16. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify ALO against claims, damages, and reasonable legal fees arising from your use of the Site, your content, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of another person’s rights.

17. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.

Continued use of the Site after the update means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Site and cancel your membership.

18. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Rhode Island, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

You agree that state and federal courts located in Rhode Island have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of these Terms or the Site, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
