My passion is helping people in stressful situations (which is sometimes all of us), to connect more strongly to ourselves and to each other. Most of this work is done in the healthcare space, teaching "the science of compassion" at the bedside and in leadership. My background includes 20 years of acute care nursing, clinical leadership, and medical education, where I've worked in everything from Search and Rescue to ICU and hospice. My hobbies include Irish pub singing and picking fights with outdated medical practices. Using experiences from leadership positions and at the bedside, I work to put a personal spin on the science and studies that can become actionable tools for better communication and connection.

Restoring Health to Healthcare is a psychotherapy practice devoted to healthcare professionals. From the start, my goal was to create a space that feels safe, private, and deeply human. A space where healthcare professionals can take a breath, find calm, and feel understood. Throughout my career, I’ve sat with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals who have quietly carried the weight of trauma, grief, and exhaustion. Many give so much of themselves that they begin to lose the sense of who they are outside their work. I have seen how this distress can erode confidence and hope, and how powerful it is when healing begins to take shape again. I'm energized by the idea of systems-level changes in which organizations make intentional choices to lead with love and so glad to have landed here.

Hi everyone! I’m a little late to the chat, but wanted to introduce myself! My name is Kelsey Fuller. I currently serve as the Director of Network Optimization and Transformation Communications at University Hospitals Health System in Cleveland OH. I was introduced to Apurv through Dr Peter Pronovost, our Chief Clinical Transformation & Quality Officer, who is passionate about the idea that love is the secret to great healthcare. I’m excited to continue working towards the goal to operationalize love throughout systems. 💛 On a personal note, I am married to my husband, Seth, and we have three kids: Elliot (4), Remy (3) and Pax (1)! Busy season of life for us, but leaning into the chaos 🤪

Thanks for wanting to learn more about me! I'm a Gratitude Strategist and Hope Catalyst who helps healthcare leaders build cultures where people feel seen, heard, valued, and appreciated. When and where people flourish, they have more to give to their team members and patients. Two key beliefs guide my work: 1) Gratitude experienced is better than gratitude explained. 2) Until you express gratitude, you're not fully experiencing it. She offers story exchange workshops that build connection, trust and deep listening skills with teams or organizations, leads mindfulness retreats and workshops in corporate and private groups and offers story coaching for leaders and those needing a powerful story for a presentation, to enhance their conversations and as a way to unravel and transform an inner narrative for healing. An old public health nurse at heart, my years of home visiting resource-poor families in the panhandle of Florida has kept my later DrPH and CDC health research years grounded in the reality of our patients’ lives. I'm Linda Roszak Burton, an executive and well-being coach. I'm honored to be a member of this consortium as it supports my commitment to applying evidence-based coaching methodologies in positive psychology, neuroscience, gratitude, and positive organisational scholarship to foster healthy work environments and further promote humanism in healthcare. As an academic researcher, I study the benefits of gratitude for individual health and well-being, as well as its role in fostering a positive work environment. I'm currently researching strategies to support the mental health of nurses, managers and support staff: Leading, Connecting, Coping: Nurses' Responses to Sustaining Well-being in Crisis Conditions, a collaboration with James Cook University (Australia) and Anglia Ruskin University (UK). Our recent work includes a 2024 publication: Gratitude interventions to improve well-being and resilience of graduate nurses transitioning to practice: A scoping review. My 2019 study showed significant improvements (p<0.001) in employee engagement and meaningfulness of work. I write a feature series on gratitude for the Wharton Healthcare Quarterly. I'm the author of Gratitude Heals© A Journal for Inspiration and Guidance, and my TEDx Talk, The Power of Gratitude to Heal the World, was released in December 2022.

I started my company from my son's NeuroICU room 15 years ago to try to create a semblance of normalcy in our lives.
