Hi all, I’m Stephanie Feals - jumping in to the chat super late! I’ve read all the intros, the chat, and the charter from the google docs. About me: I’m in PA, have an elementary age daughter, a great husband, a dog and 2 cats. 🙂 My background is TV news/communication, but I took a detour through corporate life at a Benefits Tech company where I lead corporate culture and philanthropy both before and after we went public. It was fascinating all around from learning about tech, benefits, organizational culture, and how it changes over time as we went public and grew. That experience with culture was absolutely relevant to this group, because people are people no matter where they are. The benefits experience was also super relevant and helpful to this world… and to my life post 2015 when I had a high-risk pregnancy, developed severe pre-eclampsia/HELLP, leading to my daughter’s premature birth (3 months early). Later several family members had cancer. Through those experiences as a patient, advocate for those I love, as well as my ability to understand benefits and communicate well, I have become thoroughly entrenched in the world of healthcare. I currently have 2 online shows, Making Healthcare Work for You, which I co-founded and co-host with Apurv, and The Stephanie Feals show (which is much newer).

Sue believes in a society where everyone belongs as equals, living and breathing the art of the possible in every way. Her daughter Jen was born with Down’s syndrome and was written off by 'professionals' at birth and many times since. Jen says, “With the right support at the right time we can go further and further”. Out of frustration, with Jen already 28, the Blackwells created DanceSyndrome in 2009, where everyone matters and all are encouraged to lead happy, healthy and purposeful lives. Jen, Sue and DanceSyndrome are international multi-award-winning leaders of change, disrupting the status quo and challenging perceptions and systems where necessary. They live life from the foundation of the art of the possible, whatever label or perceived ability are attached to ourselves or others, by taking one step at a time. The Blackwells encourage everyone to follow their dreams. Jen’s mantra, ‘Dream, Believe, Achieve’ is available to everyone no matter the label, financial resources, perceived ability or cultural background. Leading from the heart, the Blackwells are keynote speakers who inspire those who engage to think differently, creating change and transforming lives. DanceSyndrome offers training, consultancy and a replicable model of inclusion for any organisation, putting love at the heart and ensuring everyone feels that they belong and are valued. https://blackwells.biz & https://dancesyndrome.co.uk
